Recently, I went into a few Chinese restaurants as a normal American and tried to order food in fluent Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese). The reactions of the Chinese people were so funny that I was able to pull off a little prank on them. The waiters and other patrons at the restaurant in Chinatown, New York City, were all shocked and astonished! Thank you to everyone who helped me learn the language!
