In 1995, we welcomed economist Maria da Conceição Tavares to Roda Viva. Maria da Conceição Tavares came from Portugal fleeing the Salazar dictatorship and became one of the most respected figures in the economic field here. A professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Unicamp, she was a guru to a legion of left-wing economists. After spending twenty years in opposition, she surprised everyone by praising Minister Dilson Funaro's economic plan when José Sarney was president. But it wasn't long before she returned to being a relentless critic of the plans and governments that followed. She was elected federal deputy for the PT in Rio. Professor Maria's ideas and controversies reached the National Congress. The interview panel included journalist Rui Xavier, who is the policy coordinator for the Estado group; Carlos Alberto Sardenberg, who is a special reporter for Folha de S. Paulo; Leonel Rocha, deputy editor of Economics for Veja magazine in Brasília; Carlos Marques, editor of Economics for IstoÉ magazine; Marco Antônio de Resende, editorial director of Vip/Exame magazine; José Paulo Kupfer, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Zero Hora, in São Paulo; and economist Álvaro Zini Júnior, professor of international economics at the School of Economics and Administration of the University of São Paulo. #rodaviva ▶️ DOWNLOAD THE CULTURA PLAY APP ▶️ Play Store: http://bit.ly/3KUUHhI Apple Store: http://apple.co/3LgEK72 Follow Roda Viva: Facebook: / rodaviva Twitter: / rodaviva Website: http://tvcultura.com.br/programas/rod...
