When planning a bike trip, you always have doubts about what to take, what is important and what is completely unnecessary, but you still want to take it, perhaps out of fear of needing it or attachment. That's how it was for us too. We spent two years planning the bike trip and when it was time to pack our bags, we put items that we realized didn't make any sense in the first few kilometers, or at least not in the quantity we were taking. And that's okay, you have the option of leaving them behind, donating them, exchanging them, selling them, etc. Adjustments happen throughout the bike trip and are often necessary. In a bike trip format where autonomy and economy are very important points, as in our case, we consider some equipment essential.
