What to eat in Japan? Many people are convinced that Japanese cuisine is limited to sushi and that the Japanese do nothing but eat sushi, sushi, sushi and… more sushi! Fortunately, this is not the case and, although sushi is undoubtedly the most famous dish of Japanese cuisine, a bit like pizza for us Italians, the Land of the Rising Sun offers a great variety of dishes and what better occasion to try them than a nice trip to Japan. So, if you are planning to go to Japan, make yourself comfortable and prepare a nice list of what to eat when you are there. Of course, it would be impossible to make a list of all the dishes, the regional varieties and the different possibilities that you can find. I will therefore limit myself to telling you about the dishes that I prefer and those that are certainly more characteristic and representative, as well as easier to find for a tourist.
