In this tutorial I wanted to help you understand a little more about the LUFS measurement and its variables, since everyone talks about integrated LUFS but no one mentions LUFS Short Term and LUFS Momentary which can and are very helpful in mixing and mastering. You should also keep in mind that even if you master the meters and visual tools, your ear should be on par or beyond them. My intention is not to neglect your auditory training so that you focus on numbers or calculations, but quite the opposite, that with this information you can further refine your auditory skills and have a little more light on these topics that everyone seems to omit. Now without further ado, enjoy this somewhat different tutorial that was the product of an oversight when deleting the folder where the videos were and only keeping the voice, so I had to do the visuals in after and example takes. If you have any questions about this topic, I plan to make more videos about it as I go along, so leave me your questions in the comments. I will answer them while I make another video clarifying everything in one video. A hug and I hope it helps. 🟣 PRO TUTORIAL: How to USE MULTIBAND COMPRESSION in MASTERING without LOSING PUNCH: 👉 https://bit.ly/2UnDAeP 📕 Part 2 now available - How to achieve perfect vocal balance Using LUFS https://bit.ly/3fjboCf In this class you will learn: 📕 What is LUFS 📕 What is integrated LUFS 📕 What is LUFS short term 📕 What is LUFS momentary 📕 Which platforms normalize 📕 Why some songs sound louder at some points 📕 How LUFS variables work 📕 When to use each LUFS variable 📕 What measure to use for mixing and mastering 📕 Part 2 now available - How to achieve perfect vocal balance Using LUFS https://bit.ly/3fjboCf 📕 Tutorial to reinforce this information: https://bit.ly/2Uz3OeQ 📕 Image with the recommended integrated LUFS measurements for each platform https://bit.ly/3hqd5jh _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Time markers: 00:00 Intro 01:12 Why this tutorial is important 02:42 LUFS in a nutshell 03:51 Integrated LUFS 04:18 What is an average 05:15 LUFS Short Term 06:56 LUFS Momentary 08:00 The problem 11:35 Points to keep in mind 12:49 When to use each one 13:06 When to Use integrated LUFS 13:44 When to Use LUFS short Term 14:07 When to Use LUFS Momentary 14:46 farewell and invitation to the second part _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Visit our website, Access all our private content and be part of the KM family: www.kmmusicacademy.com ✔ Courses: https://bit.ly/2Bbfc9S ✔ Pro tutorials: https://bit.ly/3eyJtOp ✔ Articles: https://bit.ly/2zCiP8c ✔ Flps: https://bit.ly/2Mcx9XD _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Follow us on our networks Facebook: https://bit.ly/3c5Y4yV Instagram: https://bit.ly/2ZGby1Y Email: [email protected]
