Hi everyone, how are you? In this video, we show you what to do in the Canyons of the São Francisco River. XINGÓ CANYONS. The video is very complete, showing the tour through the old Chico, a little of the history of the place, and the canoe ride to the beautiful Talhado Cave. The Xingó Canyon is located near the city of Canindé do São Francisco, 200 km from Aracaju, the capital of Sergipe. The beautiful scenery of the canyon was formed by the damming of the waters of the São Francisco River for the construction of the Xingó Hydroelectric Plant. The catamaran ride reaches its peak when arriving at the Port of Brogodó, where tourists can visit the Talhado Cave and dive into the green waters of the Old Chico. Tour Prices: the catamaran ride cost R$120.00 per person and the canoe ride to the Talhado Cave was R$20.00 per person. We thought the prices were a little steep, but the tour was definitely worth it. It’s a beautiful place, different from everything we’re used to seeing, so we think it’s worth the investment.
