The coalition has been deadlocked for several weeks, even months. The problem is that we cannot agree on filling some key positions. At first glance, it might seem that it is just a fight for the troughs, but it is not like that in reality. In the background of this struggle is a power struggle within at least one coalition party - namely Hlas. In an attempt to challenge the post of Speaker of the Parliament and at the same time weaken or make uncertain the position of its Speaker, the Voice began to play a cynical political game. It escalates the pressure on SNS by blocking the election of the STVR council by nominating an absolutely unacceptable person. However, this is only a cover, the goal of this, at first glance, absurd dispute (Krajcer is unacceptable even for the absolute majority of Hlas and Smer voters) is to weaken the position of party chairman Matúš Šutaj - Eštok, on the other hand, to force his coalition partner to permanently occupy the post Speaker of the Parliament. Destroying the agreement of the party chairman from the coalition council a day after it was reached and approved by the coalition leaders can only mean one thing. Someone in the Voice has a huge effort to show in public that the position of the chairman is not only unshakable, but on the contrary, it is very shaky. Which can mean a clear message to the inside of the party - that his replacement can be not only possible but probable in the medium term. Unfortunately, it is very unfortunate if the dispute over the filling of key and essential posts is misused for such internal party fights. During the weekend, we witnessed a new model for solving the coalition crisis. This should consist in the fact that all the members of the SNS - except for Andrej Danko - would be "pushed out" from the parliament by the fact that Minister Taraba and Minister Šimkovičová, plus the state secretaries from the Ministry of the Environment, i.e. Štefan and Filip Kuff, would come back to the parliament. A club of independent deputies would be formed, and Danko, the only one, would eventually join the club of the Smer party. Well, as compensation for Taraba, there would be the post of deputy speaker of the parliament, in which he would replace Andrej Danek. The coalition would thus have 79 deputies again (78 if Danko were offended) and the coalition would continue to function as a well-oiled machine. However, this plan has one fatal flaw - it is completely unrealistic. There is not the slightest will for such a thing in the SNS club, and even the members of the government and state secretaries are not ready to return to the parliament. A person following Slovak politics must have a very big imagination, but this is really something that is not even close to reality. The coalition crisis will certainly be resolved in the medium term, but with a probability bordering on certainty, it will not be the solution that Rudolf Huliak predicted.
