Alongside Cosme, we were able to learn a little more about the history of the village, when and how the mining era was at its peak, and also see up close the ruins that remain of the busiest neighborhood that once existed there. After a history and architecture lesson, we had the honor of meeting the cheerful Mr. Guina, who, at the height of his 82 years, is full of health and energy, at the helm of his famous Bar Igatu. Anyone who passes by here cannot (and should not) miss visiting this cozy establishment, filled with good conversations and laughter with the dear Aguinaldo. To end our day on a high note, it could not be any other way than with that exquisite recipe!
