Hello everyone. I tried to explain the Gülleci slurry that our valuable teacher Mehmet İzbak has brought back to Turkish farmers with his efforts and initiatives. This slurry has many benefits for olive farmers, as I have experienced, such as its repellent feature for cotton, olive mites and fungal diseases, as well as olive moths and flies. Although chemical control becomes necessary in extremely dense pest populations, Gülleci slurry allows us to solve many problems naturally and most importantly cheaply in the initial phase. Gülleci Slurry Material and Recipe: 1- 30 Kg Elemental Sulfur 2- 15 Kg Quicklime 3- 100 Liters Water -First, 50 liters of water is added to the cauldron and lime is added and waited for it to extinguish. -The fire of the gold is lit and the remaining 50 liters of water are completed with sulfur. -When it reaches the boiling point, it is boiled on low heat for 1.5 - 2 hours by stirring. -When it turns red and a white layer forms on top, it is removed from the fire and left to rest. -When cooling and sedimentation are complete, the upper, sediment-free part is filtered and put into a canister. -The sedimentary part at the bottom can be used for tree wounds, fungus and moss by diluting it on the tree trunk or around the house for pests. Application amount for 100 liters of water, depending on the air temperature, it can be used from 0.5 liters to 1.5 liters. High dose use in hot weather can have a burning effect.
