In 1637, French mathematician Pierre de Fermat wrote a note in the margin of a page of Euclid's book “The Elements”. In it, he said that there was not enough space there to develop the wonderful mathematical proof that he discovered. This made brilliant scholars struggle for centuries to solve the problem – which in itself led to several advances in mathematics. Until one man finally did it. In this video, Malu Cursino tells the fascinating story of Fermat's Last Theorem and the mathematician who managed to solve it more than 3 centuries later. Check it out. Did you like it?
