Described as the disease of the 21st century, burnout affects more than 300 million people worldwide. However, the WHO has still not recognized it as an occupational disease. In making this documentary, Tristan wanted to better understand this symptom of emotional exhaustion, what it really means and whether or not he himself has come close to it. Why is burnout often mentioned to talk about fatigue that is not so serious, or worse, "as if we had to accept it as part of the success package"? By leaving journalism to join the world of startups, Tristan discovered new words like fundraising, hypergrowth, profitability... Despite his passion for his work, he woke up one morning telling himself that he had "more trouble, less enthusiasm", despite the desire to continue to carry out his projects. Throughout the documentary, Tristan meets people who have experienced burnout, like Mathilde who explains that "we can give everything we have, it's not enough. We still sink". In turn, the director asks himself questions about his own bouts of fatigue, taken aback by the way others react to this subject ("It's nothing, you're burned out, take a vacation"). Thanks to the testimonies of professionals, we discover the risks that burnout poses to health, and how this disease continues to progress in society. Alongside Tristan, set off in search of answers to better understand this subject that remains taboo in the professional world. #work #burnout #documentary ____________________________ Welcome to the Jungle gives work a lasting place in our lives. ????
