In September 2021, I decided to cross the Sudetes, but the idea of hiking a long-distance trail had been tempting me for some time. It was my first adventure of this type, and the question of what equipment to take for a dozen or so days of hiking occupied my thoughts for many days. What equipment should I take on a long-distance trail? What equipment for a GSB or GSS? What will I need for these 500 kilometers, and what is just my whim? These questions were already confusing me a bit, because after all, I had never done anything like this before.
