The Jedi disappeared from the galaxy and the Clone Wars ended permanently with the birth of the Empire. The new power, however, decided to implement changes. The Kamino operations were immediately stopped and the last clone farm was allowed to finish their training, but it became clear to everyone that the stormtroopers would soon take their place in the service of the Empire. Although some clones remained Stormtroopers for a longer period, no matter how talented they were, by the time of the Battle of Yavin, a clone was a rarity in the Imperial army. This was mainly due to their accelerated development, as they aged quickly. In any case, the only opportunity for clones was to serve the Empire as soldiers… The best job they could hope for was quite different… Many wanted to occupy a position in the Imperial Guard, mainly in the hope of longer service. In one issue of the Darth Vader comic, there are two such clones who became victims of Vader precisely because of this inspiration. Furthermore, the book Lords of the Sith mentions at least one clone who successfully made it to the point of wearing a red helmet. However! Mostly, the clones who survived the war were given very menial jobs as part of the Imperial army… Now, of course, I’m not talking about the experienced captains and commanders or commando units, but rather simple privates. For example, they were given tasks such as removing all traces of the Jedi from the galaxy. They were sent to the old garrisons of the lost order and their task was to collect all the weapons, equipment, holocrons and really everything that the Jedi had ever made. Of course, we know of clones from the Rebels series who were branded traitors by the Empire after they got rid of their control chips and stopped fighting the Jedi. They were Rex, Gregor and Wolffe… although I think that maybe it was Wolffe who had the possibility that he might have fulfilled Order 66, but that's really just a theory… Then there's another clone trooper worth mentioning who was none other than Gray… the Chip in his head either didn't work perfectly, or the clone somehow managed to bypass it and ended up sacrificing his own life and killing his own team to ensure the escape of the young Padawan Caleb Dume… by the way, we later got to know the Padawan as Kanan in the Rebels series!
