Russian soldiers leaving Damascus in a convoy with armored vehicles were seen going to the Hmeymim Base in the city of Tartus. Some of the materials at the bases were seen being loaded onto cargo planes to be transported. According to Western experts, it is clear that a gradual withdrawal has begun in the region. However, it is not known whether Moscow will withdraw from Syria completely. On the other hand, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Bogdanov announced that they have established contact with the interim administration established in Syria. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov made a statement in the capital Moscow regarding the latest developments in Syria. Bogdanov said, “Contact was established with the political committee working in Damascus at a hotel. “They are meeting with representatives of diplomatic missions. Representatives of our embassy also met with them,” he said. Noting that issues related to ensuring the security of their diplomatic missions and Russian citizens in Syria were primarily discussed during the meeting, Bogdanov said, “Contacts are continuing constructively.
