Guest - Viktor Omelyanovich Hutsal, artistic director and chief conductor of the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments. In 2024, two anniversaries were celebrated: the 55th anniversary of the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine and the 80th anniversary of the leader of the orchestra, artistic director and chief conductor of the NAONI, People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, Viktor Hutsal. Recently, Viktor Hutsal's book "Musical and Non-Musical Vibrations" was published by the Summit Book publishing house. This book is about the creation, history and prospects of this unique Orchestra! And most importantly, this book is about the best Ukrainian music in the world - diverse, emotional, harmonious - music performed by the NAONI! The book may be interesting to people of all creative professions, group leaders, musicians, students and all those who are interested in Ukrainian musical art! About NAONI: NAONI, established in 1969, is the country's leading artistic collective, a seven-time winner of the “Battle of Orchestras” project in Ukraine and abroad, has over 40 names of Ukrainian folk instruments and over 2,500 compositions in its repertoire. The basis of the orchestra's concert programs is folk instrumental music from all regions of Ukraine, modern Ukrainian music, music of the peoples of the world, works of Ukrainian and world classics, masterfully orchestrated world hits and soundtracks for films. During its existence, the orchestra has performed over 4,300 concert performances! In recent years, the NAONI brand has become synonymous with innovations in Ukrainian music, combining traditional sound with modern dynamics and rhythms, collaborating with musicians and groups in various musical directions. Successfully implemented artistic projects with such famous Ukrainian performers as ONUKA, Oleg Skrypka, Artem Pyvovarov, Jamala, the groups "Druha Rika", Mad Heads, KozakSystem, PROBASS ∆ HARDI, OT VINTA, KOMU VNYZ, and others. From the very beginning of the war and during the full-scale invasion, the orchestra participated in events in Eastern Ukraine, in front-line regions, including in the "Artistic Weapons" projects, as well as in international festivals and concerts abroad, the purpose of which was to draw the attention of the international community to the war in Ukraine and raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian programs. During 2024, the NAONI orchestra organized and performed 75 concert performances, including 11 charity ones - for military personnel, their family members, temporarily displaced persons, adults and children with disabilities.
