In order to become a teacher, Evi first had to complete her high school diploma through the second educational path. This is how she first came into contact with the profession at the vocational high school. It was important to her that at the end of her studies she would be able to decide whether to become a teacher or go into the private sector. The starting salary for a vocational school teacher is currently 4,579.86 euros gross per month. Bavaria currently pays its vocational school teachers the most. Before Evi became deputy head of school, she was grouped in A14 level 06 and earned 4,563 euros gross per month. Trainees attend vocational school during their training period. Those who have a high school diploma or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification and an apprenticeship do not have to go to vocational school; all other trainees are required to attend school during their training.
