Professors Julio Trebolle and Florentino García Martínez explain the most important contributions of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Trebolle links Jewish and Christian identities based on the discovery of the Qumran community, from whose texts new interpretations of the customs of the different Jewish peoples and of the different versions of the Bible, especially the origins of the New Testament, can be extracted. Based on the difficult textual classification of the scrolls, García Martínez presents a general overview of their contents in relation to the canonical biblical texts.
