With the release of Alien Romulus we were introduced to a little more information about the epic lore and mythology of the Engineers or Engineers from the Alien franchise also known as Space Jockeys which are the most mysterious and interesting characters that appear in the franchise almost being on the same level as the aliens or xenomorphs themselves, this is mainly because the Engineers or Space Jockeys are the ones who somehow used the aliens or xenomorphs as a weapon and for a long time after the release of the first Alien film in 1979 by Ridley Scott, Dan O'Bannon and HR Giger we did not really know anything about the pilots of the crashed Juggernaut ship that was on the planet LV-426 nor did we know who that alien race was, It was not until the release of the 2012 film Prometheus that we were finally given more information about the Space Jockeys or Engineers, who they were and what relationship they had. with the black pathogen, the xenomorph virus or the black goo that they used to plant or sow life on the different planets around the universe and they also used this to destroy all organic life on the different planets where they had already created life but they considered that their creation was a disappointment and a complete mistake for their culture. The Engineers also known as Space Jockeys or Engineers by their name in English are a race of superior aliens that appear in the Alien universe and are responsible for creating humanity and other alien species in the universe of the Alien films and in their comics. The Engineers are humanoid creatures that look like very muscular and pale giant humans, they appeared directly in the Alien prequels which are the 2012 film titled Prometheus and in the 2017 film titled Alien Covenant, even so in the first Alien film we can see one of these beings fossilized inside the Juggernaut ship that is on the planet LV-426. They despite having very advanced technology and several special weapons that they use like the black liquid, the xenomorph virus or the pathogen that they use to destroy the organic life of a planet and to create it too, this is how they have managed to develop an incredible genetic engineering and that is why it is theorized that they are the creators of the terrifying aliens or xenomorphs as well as many other species that exist around the entire universe and in fact it is confirmed that they are the creators of humanity in the fictional universe of the Alien franchise. That is why engineers are considered one of the most interesting and complex beings that appear in the Alien universe, being equally important as the aliens and the predators or yautjas.
