Chosen strangers in the dispersion: minority in non-Christian society. -1 Peter 1:1-2 - "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen strangers who are scattered in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, the province of Asia and Bithynia, whom God the Father has chosen through the sanctification of the Spirit for obedience and sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ: May God give you much grace and peace!" 2. Strangers and pilgrims in the ICH-Zentrum world. – 1 Peter 2:11-12 – “Dear brothers, I urge you as strangers and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly passions, which war against the soul, and to lead a life of integrity among the Gentiles, so that those who accuse you of doing evil may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.” 3. The relationship of Christians to the state. –1 Peter 2:13-17– “Be subject to every human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme or to governors, as sent by him to punish evildoers and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by good works you should silence the ignorant and foolish men—as free men, and not as having your freedom as a cover for evil, but as slaves of God.
