As every year, the summer and winter timetable comes into force throughout the country, which often brings with it various new features. Starting from the Frecce category, in the Adriatic practically all the Frecciargento to and from Lecce/Taranto/Bari have been replaced by the ETR500 Frecciarossa, while on Ancona/Pescara the ETR700 remain. A very important new feature was the one regarding the last three Frecciabianca, two to date, given that the last pair 8811-8814 from Milan to Lecce has been replaced by the ETR500. The last two from Venice instead of the classic composition that we were used to seeing until recently, that is E402B in double symmetrical traction and 9 carriages, now there is the ETR460-463. With the conclusion of the FB 8828 service on 11 December, on the morning of Sunday 12 December the same composition was sent as empty material from Venice Mestre to Rome Termini. Speaking instead of the Intercity Giorno, finally the 584 and 588 have also returned to circulate via Prato after having been diverted for a year via Rimini-Falconara-Terni due to infrastructure improvement works on the Bologna-Prato line. Their compositions have certainly not changed, that is E401 and the usual 8 carriages, including the Semipilota Z1A. Also during the improvement works, many regional trains on the Bologna-Prato route had been limited in the previous stations or replaced by buses, but starting from 12 December they have all returned to circulate in multiple command of ETR104 Pop. Other new features have been seen in the new timetable especially for the Eurocity of OBB and also of SBB CFF FFS. Those to and from Munich/Bologna Centrale have maintained more or less the same timetables but with different numbering, such as for example the 85 has now become 83 or even the 89 has now become 87. Instead for SBB CFF FFS it was a great achievement to reach the capital of Emilia-Romagna, arriving in the early afternoon at platform 4 west with the Giruno RABe501.023 and leaving perfectly on time at 17.26 for Zurich. Staying on the Trenitalia theme on the Venice-Naples route all the trains are ETR500 Frecciarossa or ETR400 Frecciarossa 1000 and no longer some Frecciargento. Furthermore, the Frecciargento pair 8418-8419 from Venice Santa Lucia to Reggio Calabria has also been replaced by the Frecciarossa 1000. On the other hand, after having completed the third supply of ETR675 Evo, Italo now has 26 of them and 25 AGV575. Precisely for this reason, since December 12th it has increased the commercial offer between Milan and Rome with 64 daily services, half of which are non-stop and with a frequency of one train every twenty minutes during rush hour.
