One year after the US Supreme Court banned affirmative action in university admissions processes, American institutions have released data on new student enrollment for the first time. Although most of them recorded a drop in black students, the decrease in this group was, in some cases, smaller than expected, which should motivate new rounds of legal battles on the subject.
