In August 2024 we headed to the Western Alps - a region full of breathtaking routes and countless possibilities. My plan included highlights such as the ascent via Pramand and the Galleria Seguret to the Jafferau, the Sommeiller, the Colle delle Finestre with the Assietta ridge road, two days in the Vercors, the spectacular Combe Laval, the Col de Parpaillon and of course some well-known asphalt passes such as the Galibier and the Izoard. Anyone who knows the Western Alps knows: every route is an experience in itself. Our base was the Gran Bosco campsite in Oulx. From there we set off - depending on our mood and preferences - sometimes alone, sometimes in pairs. A joint tour through the Vercors was also a highlight of our program.
