Selected and compiled by Jakub Kamberský A collection of previously released, but also forgotten or never-before-released recordings has been released for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great master of words. Miroslav Horníček is presented here (with a few curious exceptions) as an actor, emcee, clown and interpreter of primarily his own texts. The selection therefore contains several previously released titles. In addition to them, there are never-released gems (e.g. the band Zavinil to bubínek, Nocturné), in which Miroslav Horníček excelled as a guide to the plot, its commentator and mover. In order to highlight and capture unknown recordings, we leave multiple versions of the same one in several cases. This applies, for example, to Preludes with Jan Werich, or Horníček's own texts Chvála pohybu. We bring you recordings of a series of plays by the Semafor Theatre with Miroslav Horníček in the lead role, unknown versions of previously released programs, and previously unreleased recitals. The set is concluded by a collage by Robert Tamchyna, composed of various audio excerpts, creating a kind of personal biography of the celebrated master.
