In Germany, weed is being smoked more and more. But where does the weed that is smoked here actually come from? STRG_F research shows that most large-scale cannabis shipments no longer come to Germany from Albania or Holland, but from Spain. Why is Spanish weed so popular? And what are the consequences of the Spanish cannabis boom locally? STRG_F reporter Jonas Schreijäg investigated these questions in southern Spain and found a tough weed business. For the documentary, he accompanied the police, who stormed the apartment of a German cannabis dealer at dawn, and he met a drug lord in Andalusia who was sending tons of hashish to northern Europe. All of the interviewees agreed on one thing: violence has exploded. Would legalization change everything?
