The series Weddings in Venice takes place in a wedding environment, more precisely around a wedding salon. The main character is the beautiful thirty-five-year-old Olga Drozdová, a mother of twins who is still looking for the right one. She organizes weddings for others, but is still waiting in vain for her own. Weddings in Venice tells the stories not only of Olga, but also of other generations. Olga is in a relationship with a married man who keeps promising her that he will finally divorce her. Fortunately, there is the photographer Romeo, Olga's friend and colleague from the salon, who can always make her laugh and to whom she can complain. The fact that Olga still has not found a partner and a suitable father for her twins is also a concern for her parents, Alois and Libuš. As is their second child - son Ivan, an unsuccessful actor who is drowning in debt. But Alois and Libuša do not live only with the problems of their children, they have their own interests, which they are passionate about. Alois works on a farm and is fascinated by the behavior of rabbits. Libuše, on the other hand, loves theater above all else.
