From July 2025, connection to the telematics infrastructure (TI) will be legally mandatory in outpatient and inpatient care. The aim is to reduce bureaucracy in everyday working life with the help of a network for secure and fast data transmission. In this way, the TI should help caregivers to have more time resources. The care situation for people with dementia can also benefit greatly from this. gematik GmbH from Berlin is responsible for the Germany-wide implementation of the TI. Dr. Anika Heimann-Steinert is product manager at gematik GmbH and is responsible for the target group of care. In the webinar, she explains the telematics infrastructure and its possible uses in care. She also shows which individual digital applications can be used specifically in the care of people with dementia and what advantages this entails.
