Webinar series - The New Bidding and Contracts Law: modernizing government procurement. General aspects of the new Bidding Law and the preparatory stage of the competition. The new Bidding and Contracts Law, Law No. 14,133/2021, was enacted on April 1, 2021 and is now in force, and can be used by public administration bodies and entities in the three spheres of government. With a close eye on the modernization of bidding and contracts legislation, FGV Knowledge will hold a series of virtual meetings on the new law, bringing together authorities and experts in the field, with the aim of not only presenting the law's innovations, but also discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the legal text. The first webinar, “General aspects of the new Bidding Law and the preparatory stage of the contest”, on 06/25/2021, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, will discuss the general aspects of the law, the transition rules, the hypotheses of exemption and non-requirement of bidding, in addition to detailing the preparatory stage of the bidding process.
