In this video, we visited Giresun Square and then Giresun Gazi Street. Then we continued through the back streets and walked along the Freedom Road to the historical Zeytinlik Neighborhood. This neighborhood is a neighborhood where families who migrated from Thessaloniki during the population exchange period stayed. It has been adapted to modernization without spoiling its historical texture. We reached Giresun Castle by walking up from Zeytinlik neighborhood. Giresun Castle has a great location with a view of the whole city and also Giresun Island. You can come to Giresun Castle by your car. There are restaurants and cafes. In addition, we visited the grave of Topal Osman Ağa, who was Atatürk's bodyguard and protected his homeland against all threats in Giresun and its surroundings during the Republic period.
