My Lord, Jesus Christ, who, out of the love you have for people, dwells day and night in this Sacrament and, full of goodness and love, awaits, calls and receives all who come to visit you, I believe that you are present here in this Sacrament of the altar. I pay you homage from the abyss of my nothingness and I thank you for the graces you have bestowed upon me, especially for giving me yourself in this Sacrament, for giving me the Most Holy Mother Mary as my Mediatrix and for calling me to visit you in this church. I greet your most beloved Heart, and I wish to greet it for a threefold purpose: first, to thank you for this great gift; secondly, to make amends for all the outrages you have suffered from all your enemies in this Sacrament; thirdly, I wish to honor you by this visitation in all those places on earth where people pay you little homage in this Sacrament present or even abandon you altogether. My Jesus! I love You with all my heart, I regret that I have upset Your goodness so many times in the past. I resolve with the help of Your grace never to offend You again in the future, and now, wretched as I am, I surrender myself completely to You, I renounce my will, my inclinations, my desires and everything that belongs to me. From now on, dispose of me and everything that I possess as You please. I ask You only for holy love, which alone I desire, and for perseverance in good to the end and for the perfect fulfillment of Your will. I also commend to You the souls suffering in purgatory, especially those who had the greatest devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and to the Blessed Virgin Mary. I also commend to You all poor sinners. Finally, my dear Savior, I unite all my feelings with the feelings of Your most merciful Heart and thus united I offer them to Your Eternal Father and I beg Him in Your name to accept them for Your love and to deign to hear me. VISITATION XIX THE MOST FAITHFUL FRIEND Every person is very happy when he can be in the company of a dear friend. Wouldn't it be nice to be in this vale of tears in the company of the best Friend we have? He can bestow all goods upon us, loves us without limits and therefore is constantly with us. Here we can talk to the Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament according to our desire. We can open our hearts to Him, present our needs to Him and ask Him for graces in this Sacrament. We can be with the King of heaven with full trust and without any embarrassment. Joseph of Egypt felt very happy - as the Holy Scripture says - when God visited him and comforted him in prison with His grace. "She went down with him to the dungeon and did not leave him in his chains" (Wis 10:14). We are happier because God, who became man, is constantly with us on this poor earth. He is with us all the days of our lives with immense love and compassion. What a consolation it is for a poor prisoner to have a close friend who keeps him company, comforts him, gives him strength, helps him and thinks of alleviating his misery. Here is our best friend, Jesus Christ, who in this Sacrament encourages us and says to us: “Behold, I am with you always” (Mt 28:20). Here I am – he says, entirely for you. I have come from heaven to your prison to comfort you, to bring you help and liberation. Accept me, be with me always, hold on to me and you will not feel your misery. Then you will enter with me into my Kingdom, where I will make you completely happy. God, incomprehensible love, because you have willed to become so good to us that you descend to our altars to be with us, I resolve to visit you as often as possible. I want to rejoice often, as much as possible, in your most sweet presence, which makes the saints in heaven happy. May I always be with You, to pay You homage and show You affection. Awaken, I pray, my soul, if through coldness or because of worldly affairs it neglects to visit You. Ignite in me a great desire to dwell continually before the Blessed Sacrament. O my most beloved Jesus, may I always love You and always bring You joy! I console myself, however, that I will still have time for this, and not only in the life to come, but also here on earth. I desire to do this, I want to truly love You, my highest good, my love, my treasure, my everything. SIGH My God, strengthen my love for You! SPIRITUAL COMMUNION My Jesus! I believe that You are present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to possess You in my soul. Since I cannot receive You sacramentally now, come at least spiritually to my heart. I embrace You as if You had already come to me and I unite myself entirely with You; do not permit me to be separated from You.
