Traveling from Porto Velho-RO x Manaus-AM aboard the Eucatur G7 1050 Front Engine Bus Mercedes Benz 2008, a bus ideal for dirt roads. In the early morning we had to wake up and get off the bus to cross a river on a ferry and soon after we had a big scare. Check out this video about the Adventures on BR-319, the ghost highway that was paved in the 70s and is now abandoned and the only land connection between two capitals in the North Region and the rest of Brazil. A federal highway and several challenges in its quietest period, the Amazon summer. In this video I share my experience as a passenger on this incredible adventure through the Amazon rainforest between asphalt, mud, and dust. On board a Eucatur Marcopolo bus, I left Porto Velho, in Rondônia, bound for Manaus, in Amazonas, in search of experiencing the daily lives of those who depend on BR 319: passengers, drivers, truck drivers... along the approximately 900 km that connect the two states amid rivers, forests, biodiversity and the hope of the region's residents.
