CROSSING CASINO BEACH BY MOTORCYCLE - WE DIDN'T EXPECT THIS Hey Tripper's? In today's episode, we arrived at the much feared and anticipated Casino Beach. It's over 200 km of sand and sea that connects the city of Rio Grande/RS to the extreme south of Brazil, Chui/RS. Our motorcycle crossing began at 7:40 am, leaving from the piers at the Rio Grande bar. We wanted to start crossing the largest beach in the world earlier, but we got too busy with breakfast at the hotel. About whether or not Cassino Beach is the largest beach in the world: It was considered the largest in the world by the Guinness Book, however, it seems that they disregarded the famous Herma Beach, which is next to Cassino Beach. But anyway, the largest beach in the world seems to be ours, Brazil! Well, Ana with the Tenere 250 and Rodrigo with the CB 500X, two great bikes that don't cause any problems. We deflated the tires a little to make it easier to ride on the sand. In the first 20km of the beach, when the Altair shipwreck happened, we almost lost both of our bikes to the sea out of pure stupidity. Praia do Cassino is no joke! During the crossing of Praia do Cassino, the largest beach in the world, we had a problem with the Tenere. Most likely some part got wet, and later we discovered that the air filter was very, very dirty. Rodrigo had to tow the Tenere, and then the CB 500X also had a problem. Which is hard to believe, right? Thank goodness everything was recorded. In the end, we ended up with both bikes with problems literally in the middle of the beach. Neither one worked. Unfortunately, we only crossed Praia do Cassino for 114km. We didn't even get to see the much-feared shell mound on Praia do Cassino. We had to go back by tow! - But in the end, God always knows what he's doing, and we trust in that! But the adventure of Praia do Cassino RS is worth it! There are experiences and stories to tell. What about you? Have you ever crossed Praia do Cassino? The largest beach in the world? Tell us about it! PS: it's very important to check the tide table before starting the crossing.
