Film recorded in July 2023! The Skierniewice Roundhouse was built in 1845 along with the railway line from Warsaw. The Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts is a social organization that brings together enthusiasts of the beauty of old railways from all over Poland. The Association has been operating since 1987, among others, for the popularization of railway topics in society, supporting individual and social interests in railways, documenting the history of Polish railways and conducting an active form of protection of railway monuments. The Roundhouse has collected many valuable objects, technical devices, and above all over a hundred wagons and locomotives. Some are over 120 years old, at least several are unique on a European scale. Most of the secured vehicles still await renovation. Historic buildings are also constantly preserved. In the locomotive shed you can see: ➜ 🔥Steam locomotives: Ty51-1, TKi3-137, 13 1247, Ty2-1407, Ok1-266, OKl27-10, Las 1984 and many others ... ➜ 🔥Diesel locomotives: Ls40-4544, Ls40-4572, Ls60-143, Ls60-336, SP30-218, 409D-01 and many others ... as well as passenger and luggage wagons, mainly from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, freight wagons from the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Visiting the Skierniewice Locomotive Shed is only possible on the dates shown in the event calendar.
