It's Sunday, May 5th, the day we return home. It's been raining non-stop since Friday. It's cold, wet and unpleasant. We have about 400 km to get home and we set off in the rain. A very short time after setting off, our clothes get soaked again, and the accompanying 7 degrees Celsius makes us freeze. We drive slowly, with many breaks at petrol stations to warm up, and the kilometres hardly decrease at all. For a longer break, we stop at McDonald's in Kolbuszowa, where we decide that we won't reach Warsaw by motorbike. Due to the lack of a train or bus in the area, we decide to return by BlaBlaCar. Fortunately, there is one ride from a nearby town soon. The driver and his family are so kind that they let us leave the motorbike on their property until we can pick it up. We reach Warsaw by car at around 7:30 p.m. It turns out that the rain that caught us on May Day is the beginning of rains that will fall almost continuously for the next 3 weeks and cause numerous floods and floods. Therefore, we will not go to pick up the motorcycle until May 25. On the way, we record the state of the Vistula in Sandomierz.
