On November 6, 1951 at 2:00 p.m. the first model of the luxury passenger car Warszawa M-20 rolls off the production line of the Passenger Car Factory in Żerań. In post-war Europe, where there was a huge automotive famine, the production of new vehicles becomes a priority. The Warszawa M-20, created on the license of the Russian Pobieda model, became a symbol of the reconstruction and development of the Polish automotive industry. In the following years, popular delivery vehicles such as Żuk, Nysa and Syrena were created on the basis of the Warszawa, which was a significant step towards the country's independence from imports and the development of the domestic automotive industry. This success takes on particular significance in the context of the difficult economic and political situation of those times. In the 1970s, the Polish government, together with FSO, took action to promote and commemorate the first model that started the history of motoring in Poland. This particular model was found by us after 73 years in distant Finland. Finding a Polish car is a recognition not only for the factory, but also for the history of Polish motoring.
