Warnemünde train station is located almost directly on the Baltic Sea beach. Warnemünde is a district of the Hanseatic city of Rostock. Today it is the end point of the S1, S2 and S3 lines of the Rostock S-Bahn. Until 1995 it was the starting point of the ferries to Gedser in Denmark.
