We went to Staré Hory with a white wolf - a White Swiss Shepherd. We parked the car near the Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and set off on the blue road in the direction of Piesky (Zamperk). On the way, we peeked into an abandoned tunnel for mining barite. There was once a mining settlement on the sands. Today, only a chapel and a cemetery in the forest remain. The cottage is not original. There are also 2 tunnels in the area, which open on the other side at Špana Dolina. One of them is also accessible to the public with a guide: https://www.spaniadolina.sk/obec/cest... On the way back, we stopped at the well-known Marian pilgrimage site at Studnička, right in Staré Horá. Date: 8/8/2023
