Walter Roderer, an amateur musician, creates a complete mess while looking for a new bass violin (with Ruth Jecklin, 1982). It is primarily the films "The Model Husband" and his "Nötzli" characters that made Walter Roderer famous. With around 600,000 viewers, "Accountant Nötzli" was the second most successful Swiss film after "The Swissmakers". As "The Model Husband" he also broke all of the Swiss folk theater records. Less well known, but no less good, are his cabaret numbers. His character is the shy Swiss man who is really annoying but is loved nonetheless.
