8/08/2024 Starting from the building in front of Piode (752m) on the other side of the Sesia river in the province of Vercelli, we follow a route in the woods, ideal in summer because it is sheltered from the heat and the sun's rays, to then reach the high mountain pastures and the Meggiana Refuge. From this position the view of the Monterosa stands out. Before stopping at the refuge for lunch I decide to continue a further stretch to the Crocetta (1779 m), a beautiful panoramic point that separates the provinces of Vercelli and Biella. ????
