Today you will see what our strategy was to prepare the list of materials and organize the almost 600m of infrastructure that we needed to build. We also talked about the 4 stages of the work (infrastructure + cables + panels + closure). We didn't buy everything at once. There were more than 200 electrical conduits, boxes, electrical ducts, etc. We were concerned about the company's tools and equipment, etc. There was already an infrastructure there, but a more generic electrical one that didn't meet our client's needs. How was this process of reusing the circuits and also dismantling the existing ones? We talked a little about what was there. We'll talk about the NEMA circuit breaker as a general one, there was no DR or DPS. The number of circuits was not enough. The panel was small and we needed new panels. And also that there was no external infrastructure. Inside, we had to move a lot of things to free up the walls and dismantle the existing infrastructure. The whole team was responsible for this. Brener was in charge of the dismantling part and Paloma helped. Even with the power off, we were concerned about isolating the old cables. Since we didn't do the old electrical work, we decided to undo 90% and redo everything, keeping only a few circuits that would be outside the DR. We will also talk about the circuits that the team decided to leave, such as existing lighting and emergency. After separating the materials, the first thing to do in an infrastructure is to measure the points of use, and turn on the laser level to mark all the drilling and fixing points for the boxes. The standard recommends, for boxes, a minimum height of 30 cm for low sockets and 130 cm for medium sockets. In this project, the client requested a custom design, we placed the low sockets 70 cm from the floor, to be hidden behind the countertops that he will have in the future, so we will follow the client's request. Oh, and I'm going to give a tip here for manufacturers of metal boxes. For the love of God, people, send them with the bottom drilled, or at least a guide. It's a lot of work to have to drill all the boxes, so help us out, okay? You'll see how difficult it is to drill the wall: Worn out drill bits, what better way did they find? Worrying about not making it uneven, checking all the time? Fixing with wedge clamps and washers? Use of smooth and conical uniducts. A question that many beginner electricians have at the beginning of their careers is related to the curves in the electrical conduits. We like to use a material known as flexible metallic electrical conduit, also known as sealtubo. It is an electrical conduit that has a metal core that is completely folded inside, and the outside is made of a reinforced thermoplastic material. To connect it to the electrical conduit, just use a straight uniduct sleeve, a piece that we use a lot, and tighten the screws. Since it is metallic on the inside, it ends up giving a perfect grip, and with that we can shape any obstacle. The sealtubo is a great help for us!
