IMPORTANT POINTS WHEN MAKING CHURROS It is very important that the dough is boiling before adding the flour so that it can cook, otherwise the dough will be watery and sticky. The temperature of the oil is essential to get a good result. If the oil is not hot enough, the churros will take much longer to cook and will absorb too much oil, becoming heavy and greasy.
