Today, Russia is one of the four largest consumers of workwear in the world. 4th place after China, Germany and the USA. The state has tightened requirements for industrial safety and, as a result, enterprises are obliged to purchase and issue workwear to employees. Ideal conditions for the revival of the textile and clothing industries, which occupy only a fifth of the domestic market. Vologda Textile Mill is a full-cycle enterprise of weaving and finishing works. One of the legends of the light industry of the Soviet Union, founded in 1936. Today, the plant belongs to a consortium of investors headed by AFK Sistema, has undergone technical re-equipment and specializes in the production of fabric for home textiles and high-tech fabrics for workwear. The company's assortment today includes more than forty articles. Another 11 fabric samples are in development and undergoing certification.
