During this vlog I take a look at the Noordwaard. This vast new landscape, which is designed for Room for the River, works like a magnet on resting black-tailed godwits. In the first week of March, there were over 3400!! We also take a look at colleague ranger Jeroen de Hartog at the Donkse Laagten in the Alblasserwaard. Thanks to expert customization, a reserve with a stable black-tailed godwit population can still be found there. How do they do that?
