Hello! In today's video we take you on an extraordinary tour of Kalmar Castle, one of the most impressive medieval castles in Sweden! This place is full of history, secrets and fascinating exhibitions, which captivated us from the very first moment. During the tour we came across a special exhibition dedicated to witches and the Inquisition, which took us back to the times of witch trials, when witch hunts were rampant in Europe. The exhibition presented both the dark side of history and many interesting facts about the beliefs and trials of the time. The atmospheric exhibits and stories about old customs made a huge impression on us. However, Kalmar Castle is much more! Walking through its interior, we discovered richly decorated halls, castle chapels and wonderful views from the defensive walls of the surrounding landscapes. The castle is full of fascinating stories that bring closer the turbulent history of Sweden, including periods of wars and disputes with Denmark, which Kalmar witnessed. The castle also offers many attractions for the youngest! Children can take part in games, workshops and interactive exhibitions that bring them closer to the history of the castle in an accessible way. In our film you will see how the youngest can take on the roles of knights, princesses and discoverers of the castle's secrets.
