On May 13th, 2024 we will visit the Blankenhain Castle Agricultural Museum near Crimmitschau (Zwickau district / West Saxony). We are impressed by the unique exhibitions with their impressive insights into rural living and working environments. We experience a historical journey through time from the 18th century to the present, which also presents the situation of agriculture in the former GDR in detail. The open-air museum currently covers 13 hectares and comprises 80 buildings and structures with over 100 thematic exhibitions. The museum is so extensive and spacious that we unfortunately could not see all the stations and exhibition areas. A reason for a next visit, which will certainly be worthwhile again!
