The via ferratas on Skalka are currently the most varied and largest via ferrata area in Slovakia. For those of you who don't know what via ferratas are, they can be described as secured tourist routes over rocks. You will, of course, need ferrata equipment (helmet, seat, fall arrester, or gloves), which you can also rent directly at Skalka. If you don't enjoy traditional hiking, would like to try climbing, are not afraid of heights and have at least some experience with moving on rocky terrain, via ferratas are just for you. Ferrata paths are built of varying difficulty and are marked with letters of the alphabet in ascending order. A means the easiest via ferrata, C is already a difficult route, E is an extremely difficult route.
