Hello everyone, In this film, I take you on a hike with magnificent landscapes and atmosphere on the slopes of the Rocher des Heures in the Glandasse massif. I am talking to you here about the Vire des Heures. Departure from the Fournaire car park, follow the direction of Pas de Pillouse. Once at the Pas, then take the direction of the Col des Bachassons. With this route, there is a small tricky passage, at the beginning, the path gives way a little. To avoid this, you can go through the Vire-sac pass, at the fork of the pass turn right to the Col des Bachassons. Once at the pass, there are two options, follow the marked path southeast which goes towards the Jasse de la Ville and once there, follow the clearly visible track which goes up to the west or cut off the trail along the cliffs. I chose to go off-trail on the way there, to go through the crests of the Traverses rocks and the Bourez rocks to reach the start of the Vire des Heures. For the way back, I followed the marked route. Once on the Vire des Heures, the path to follow is clearly visible. For a large part of the route, the crossing is via beautiful grassy terraces. The feeling of emptiness on this ledge is less present than on others. It is without technical difficulties. But it remains a ledge, even an easy one, you have to be careful. We are in the Glandasse cliffs with about 250 to 300 meters of emptiness below. A false step can be fatal. The ledge ends with a last promontory which opens onto a cirque with an incredible view of the Grande Cheneau and the cliffs of the Roc de Peyrole. There, it is a feast for the eyes. It is magnificent! The ledge is a round trip. It is possible to descend towards the Grande Cheneau with a 40 m abseil to make a loop. The route is quite dizzying and reserved for hikers-mountaineers. The description of this route is on Pascal Sombardier's website.
