For the series 'Living on the water', the crew of Watersport-TV visited Vera and George Tielen. The couple has been living on a houseboat that they designed themselves for a year and a half. Vera and George really like life on the water, aboard their floating palace. Especially the freedom. ''We feel like sailing gypsies. When we've seen it somewhere, we cast off and sail on again.'' The houseboat is equipped with every luxury and convenience and is completely sustainable. Compared to living in a house, Vera and George save around 15,000 euros per year on energy costs, WOZ and other expenses.
