There I learned about the work of the Talento 58 foundation, which seeks work for Venezuelans in the villages of Spain. A group works there in a small supermarket. I was surprised by the stories of Grecia and Osman, two Venezuelans who had become homeless in Madrid and who now live comfortably with housing and work, in a quiet town with a good quality of life. I also visited Manzanares in the province of Ciudad Real. More than 50 Venezuelans live there. They are delighted with the prices, the security, the tranquility and the good offer of supermarkets, shops, activities for seniors and even monologues and plays. And finally, I travelled to Ciruelos del Pinar, less than two hours from Madrid. A Venezuelan couple with a small child moved to this small village thanks to another foundation, which seeks to repopulate Spanish villages. There they work in a bar and pay just 35 euros a month for rent. A great opportunity that is impossible to get in big cities like Madrid or Barcelona.
