The highest peak of the Kysucké Beskids is Veľká Rača (1236 m above sea level). The state border with the Republic of Poland passes through its peak. Below the peak is a famous ski resort with three cable cars and a bobsleigh track. From Veľká Rača, the ridge of the Malá Fatra is clearly visible, as well as the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and, under good conditions, even the Western Tatras - Roháče.
