To start, Daniele creates two doughs with the same base: 00 flour, butter, egg and powdered sugar. He adds vanilla extract to one and cocoa to the other. After working them well, and obtaining two homogeneous loaves, he puts them in the fridge to firm up for 30 minutes. After the time has passed, he takes the doughs again, braids them together to form a spiral and then leaves them in the fridge again for an hour. Once ready, he takes the dough again, cuts it to the desired size and then brush it with egg white before covering it with granulated sugar, granulated pistachios and granulated hazelnuts. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 175°.
